Dr. Harry Tennant

Dr. Tennant is an author, lecturer and consultant on e-business strategy.  His latest book is  Effective e-Strategies:  The Themes and Strategies at Work on the Web.

Dr. Tennant formed Harry Tennant & Associates in 1993, focused on helping organizations build their Internet strategies, then implement them. They offer consulting and seminars on the new electronic commerce and marketing technologies that are changing the way many companies do business.  They build Web sites for clients, particularly those requiring technical sophistication. Customers include such well known companies as Texas Instruments, MCI, Boy Scouts of America and Southern Comfort.

Prior to forming Harry Tennant & Associates, Dr. Tennant spent 14 years at Texas Instruments, was a TI Fellow, Chief Technologist of the Information Technology Group and conducted research into various aspects of computing technologies. He hosted and was responsible for the technical content of TI's series of internationally broadcast Artificial Intelligence Satellite Symposia.

Dr. Tennant is the author of the book, Natural Language Processing: An Introduction to an Emerging Technology, which appeared in 1981. He has published professional papers on natural language processing and computing environments as well as many popular articles on artificial intelligence and the future of computing.

Dr. Tennant was selected as one of 100 Outstanding Scientists under age 40 by Science Digest magazine.
